The opportunity

Altus is revolutionizing the CRE industry again! We are working on an exciting new customer facing web application that brings together key platforms and processes. With multiple phases set to roll out over the next 24 months and significant company-wide growth expected, now is an exciting time to join Altus Analytics.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Software Development we need a Full Stack JavaScript Developer who wants to contribute to this first-of-its-kind solution and be part of the development from the early stages.

Here's what our Full Stack JavaScript Developer will do:

Produce. You will produce quality coding of advanced features and fixes for our platform.

Perfect. You will carry out code reviews and ensure we maintain and improve our standards.

Innovate. You will conduct research and actively contribute new ideas, tools and methodologies to our design and development process.

Implement. You will establish best practices for coding, maintain high code quality and drive processes to enable efficient development and delivery of code.

Support. You will support the SCRUM Master and help the team deliver their sprint goals, tasks, and retrospectives.

Communicate. You will provide support and training in best practices to junior Developers.

Collaborate. You will be a key player on the new portal team. You will work across product teams ensuring the project vision is carried out.

How do we know that's you? You are:

A university graduate. You have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.

An experienced Developer. You have 5+ years exposure to multiple products and tools. You have:

Expertise in Front End development.

Exposure and comfort with Full Stack development.

Advanced skills with JavaScript.

A range of designing and developing infrastructure and frameworks for an enterprise organization.

Experience working in a continuous integration and deployment environment.

Optional experience with Angular 2, Node.js, Salesforce, MongoDB, SQL, Docker, AWS, TDD, Heroku. Nice to have but not required.

A SCRUM advocate. You firmly believe in the positive impact following scrum process has on the team and the organization. You have knowledge of how to break down deliverables into tasks and how to group those tasks into sprints.

A contributor. You are results-driven, with initiative and highly capable of meeting deadlines. You are company-focused and self-motivated.

A coach. You can offer guidance and advice based on broad and deep knowledge on a variety of techniques, tools and methodologies.

An innovative problem-solver. You are flexible, but process-focused and you know how to balance urgency with long-term payoff. You are on a continuous search for improvements.

A self-starter. You have the initiative to suggest best practices, take on leadership tasks and identify gaps - and solutions.
